This Course is as per requirements under MLC 2006 Regulation 3.2 – Food & catering – training course on food and personal hygiene, food storage control, environmental protection, catering health & safety.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The Ships’ Cook Certificate is a mandatory requirement for all chefs on commercially registered vessels operating more than 60 miles offshore, or with 10 or more crew on board.This qualification is run in accordance with the requirements of MLC (Maritime Labour Convention) and the ILO (International Labour Organization) with respect to ship’s cooks and other catering personnel to confirm that applicants have the necessary skills and knowledge.
