The aim of the Initial Training Programme is to equip delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform the role of an Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain (Twin Fall) effectively.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Delegates to fully understand the roles and responsibilities of the Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain (Twin Fall)
• Delegates to understand the working mechanisms of the TEMPSC, and how to safely launch and manoeuvre the TEMPSC to a safe area.
• Delegates to ensure that the safety of the passengers is maintained throughout.

COURSE CONTENT

This course is conducted as per Offshore Guideline. Covering following topics as per IMO Models.

• Maintain operational reading of the Craft
• Boarding and launching of craft
• Handling and moving the craft to a safe location
• Personal safety & equipment
• Lifeboat survival at sea
• Life support and first aid
• Rescue and recovery
• Towing and pacing
• communication
• Use of compass, Radio, Pyrotechnics, and emergency Equipment

• Passport, CDC, INDOS & COC
• 2 Passport size colored photographs
