HELIDECK EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM MEMBER

Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Training programme is needed to equip offshore helideck emergency response personnel with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to perform an emergency response team member in any offshore helideck and helicopter emergencies. To be able to follow HLO commands and perform safely in given emergency situation.

OBJECTIVES

The main objectives are for participants to fully understand the role and responsibilities of a Helideck Emergency Response Team Member and respond accordingly to a variety of helideck firefighting and other emergency scenarios: search and rescue, NUI emergencies etc.

• Introduction to helicopter operation
• Helideck organization and responsibilities
• Helicopter landing & departure procedure
• Breathing apparatus and entry control
• Helicopter emergency, system controls &hazards
• Emergency response planning
• Helicopter fire fighting
• Casualty rescue priorisation & casualty handling
• Normally unattended installation (NUI) exercises

• Passport, CDC, INDOS & COC
• 2 Passport size colored photographs
