The course Assessment is based on API Recommended Practice 2D; OSHA Guidelines for Offshore Crane Operators, the Candidate Log Book Records; crane handling experience records submitted by the candidate.

• Operation from Mobile and Fixed Platforms.
• Critical Lifts, Use of Counter Weights, Limit Devices
• Load Charts , Slinging of Load Tests
• Lubrication, Routine Maintenance & Housekeeping
• Banks man, Hand Signals, Radio Procures
• Wire Rope Slings & Maintenance
• Permit to Work, Log Book, Records
• Legislation & Approved Codes of Practice
• Risk Analysis, Personnel Basket Transfer
• Mounting Features of the Resolving Structure

Grade of Qualification:

Grade Qualified – GRADE I

Grade I - Qualified for Operation Independently

Grade II - To Operate in presence of Supervisor only

Grade III – To work under instruction only

Stage Qualified - STAGE III

Stage 1 Introduction to Offshore Cranes, Learning of outcomes

Stage 2 Leading & Discharging Practical’s

Stage 3 Assessment Theory; Practical’s
