FOOD HANDLING AND FOOD HYGIENE

AHT, Anchor Handling Towing Supply (AHTS) vessels have been an intrinsic part of the offshore oil industry since drilling oil from oceans first began. These essential vessels perform many key functions and are built to deploy and recover mooring systems for deepwater drilling rigs, undertake traditional supply duties in support of drilling operations, and support subsea construction activities. This course also complies with the NWEA Guidelines for the Safe Management of Offshore Supply and Rig Move Operations, section 9.1.4. which refers to the training of officers on board Anchor Handling Vessels.


SCOPE OF THE COURSE

This course is as per requirements under MLC 2006 Regulation 3.2 – Food and catering – training course, food and personal hygiene, food storage, stock control, and environmental protection and catering health and safety.


COURSE CONTENT

This course is conducted as per offshore Guideline. Covering following topics as per IMO Models.

  • Impact of Food-Borne Illness
  • Understanding Food Law
  • Food Safety Hazards and Contamination
  • Food Preservation Storage and Temperature Control
  • Personal Hygiene /Hygienic Premises
  • Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Point
  • Garbage Management System


PREREQUISITE

  • Passport, CDC, INDOS & COC
  • 2 Passport size colored photographs
